Alex Murkison grew up in Lompoc, California. He graduated from Allan Hancock College with a degree in Business Administration and decided to stay in Lompoc to give back to the community where he was born and raised. Alex joined The Alpha Resource Center after two years at Midland School in Los Olivos and quickly found his place at The Fund for Santa Barbara. Outside of work, he is the Co-Founder of Murkison & Sanchez Digital Marketing. He is a community advocate and activist who is committed to social justice and mental health support in schools. He serves on several boards, commissions, and grassroots organizations, including the Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara, the Santa Barbara County Behavioral Wellness Commission, C4 Lompoc - Collective Cultures Creating Change, and Savie Health.
