Customer Service Academy

The Customer Service Academy provides techniques for creating positive customer relationships. Students will recall and apply significant business principles, produce work-based learning projects, and demonstrate the ability to follow oral and written instructions.  Academy includes topics such as listening, people skills, conflict, ethics and integrity, service quality, and verbal communication.

Activites Include

Mock Interviews

Providing academy participants an opportunity to practice, receive feedback and improve their skills during interviews conducted by local Lompoc business leaders. Helps to develop interview strategies, enhance communication skills, answer challenging questions, and ease the nerves that many experience before an actual job interview.

Who Am I

Course provides a unique way to help clients explore their identity. They will name each part of their identity, describe what it means to them, and rate how strongly they identify with this part. This identity exploration exercise can help students get to know the distinct parts of themselves and understand how they come together to create a unique individual.

Museum of Tolerance Tours

Supporting our students by recognizing their potential as responsible citizens as well as

revealing the perils of ignorance and hatred to their future. The Museum of Tolerance is a powerful educational resource for promoting the social, emotional, spiritual and academic development of each student.

Ring of Fire

The completion of both Career Readiness and Customer Service Academies ends with a Ring

of Fire celebration held on Grover Beach. This event gives the students an opportunity to reflect on their experiences in the academies, share highlights, affirmations of each other, and how the academy experiences have changed them personally.
